I don\'t think your case would be kept on hold because of FP problems with your wife. Did your wife do ink based FP or electronic scanning?
I\'d suggest that you follow up with FBI (as to what they mean by unclassifiable and how to rectify) and also with VSC.

I think being out-of-status is a problem only if you haven\'t been reinstated at all. If however your wife travelled outside of USA and was able to re-enter and get in status, this shouldn\'t be a problem. This is just a hunch from what I read at murthy.com

It is quite possible that VSC is processing EB3 cases, whose priority dates are not current, given that most of such cases had been issued FP notices and some have even got RFE\'s. So, although such cases maybe getting processed, their status is not updated to approved until their PD...

Nothing to worry about... just respond to RFE as required. VSC will process your case, irrespective of PD. It\'ll get approved only when your PD gets current.

you must be doubly lucky. there are people with oct\'99 notice dates still waiting and it typically takes vsc a month to update finger printing records!!
did you do your FP as scheduled or before the scheduled date?
