Also, add the fact that INS/DoJ is working on a temporary budget that is currently valid until Dec5\'00 thanks to the stalemate between the congress and clinton regarding the spendings bill. The republican congress hopes that Bush will come into power and they\'ll get the spendings...
Is it possible that VSC is sending FP notices to recent filers to discourage them from changing to Consular Processing?
So far, VSC has been meticulously processing cases in the order or RD/ND (with some margin of error). It is unlikely that they\'ll digress from that modus operandi, dump...

Can you please post your details? It is generally possible but depends on the city where you plan to get it done. If you post your city, someone can tell you from their experience from that city.

Congrats! you should receive courtesy copy within a week.
It looks like you didn\'t get any RFE to redo your I140. Could you please tell us if the petitioner name on your I140 and I485 were same or different? Thanks.
Stories like yours bring encouragement to people awaiting...

Thanks again for the clarification. As you say, the chances are slim that VSC connected your I140 with you I485, unless a receipt of your amended I140 was included in you I485 package by your lawyer. Will it be possible for you to check that? Knowing this will help a lot of future...

It is more likely that your approval came about without RFE because you had already filed and got approved an amended I140 rather than S.2045. (Remember, INS hasn\'t taken any official stand on the particular issue of relevance here). Although, amended I140\'s are processed in the same...

There is nothing in the I140 application which mentions amendment of I140; so as such the IIO\'s are unaware about amendment I140 by looking up your case. Some I140\'s do mention the A#\'s though. So, I specifically mention amendment I140.
The best time to call is around 8am.

File I140 ASAP!!
Recently, Clinton signed a law which doesn\'t require H1B amendments caused by change in employer name (irrespective of acquisition or not). However, nothing was mentioned about I140. Unfortunately, rules for H1 don\'t necessarily apply to I140 and one can\'t draw...

Congratulations!
Could you please post your PD?
Also, any idea why your FP was delayed so much, when most of aug99 filers have got it much earlier? Was it re-issued, by any chance?
