After I had my I-751 interview I received a letter from USCIS saying that I need to send them court disposition for all arrests. I was never arrested in my life but was cited once for disorderly conduct which was dismissed later. Do I still need to send them that ? Like I said they asked only...
Dear all,
I am on conditional greed card that is about to expire on May 2008. Me and my USC wife both entered the marriage in good faith. Unfortunately however things have been going down hill since I got my conditional green card and our life has become very hard together. Its mostly her...
Do you realize that by doing that you commit a felony and if get caught you will be arrested on site, deported and banned from entering this country forever? This forum is a place to help people with their REAL marriage AOS applications and not for those who try to commit fraud.
Hi,
I just got my Green card last night in the mail. The total time from the date of receipt date of I-485 to actually getting the plastic card in the mail took around 4 months, not bad at all. I wanted to share my timeline for the whole process as these forums were really helpful and I...
Update
I got this email today from USCIS:
Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or
to Adjust Status
Current Status:
On April 11, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a
new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is...
I am pretty sure that your passport wont have been stamped with GC stamp if your name check was not received yet. The officer would have told you that he/she can't approve the case right away because they didn't receive the name check results. I really have no clue why your case has not been...
What is your DO?
You said that you passport is stamped, is it stamped with the green card stamp? if yes this means that your namecheck was complete at the time of the interview. You can take an infopass appt and check why you didn't get your card yet.
My I-130 has not been approved yet, but reading some other posts it doesn't seem it matters once your I-485 is approved. Why isn't your I-485 approved yet? are you stuck in name check or something?
I know that my timeline is very fast. I am really surprised given how many Mexican immigrants...

Hi,
I had my AOS interview on March 7th 2006 and the officer approved our case but she said it was pending for name check. Today I got this email from USCIS:
On April 7, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice. Please...
It is really discouraging to read about people contacting their congressman/senator for the namcheck. I mean come on who has the time for this?
So how long do you think one should wait before getting worried?
Please if anybody had his namecheck pending while AOS interview and then got his name cleared later to post how much time it took to get the name check cleared. Thanks
Receipt Date: Dec 8 2005
Interview Date: March 7 2006
Pending Name Check
Yes of course you can travel using AP while your name is pending. After all that's what the AP is for!!!
In my AOS interview the first question the officer asked me whether I was an NSEERS registrant or not. I didn't even know what that meant :confued: so I asked him to explain. He said it's the special registration thing that you have to do at the airport when you first come in (or every year if...
Congrats! I had my AOS interview almost 3 weeks after yours and same thing happened to me - Pending name check. I hope my name will get cleared as fast as yours did :D
One question though, in your signature it says I-130 Approved. What does that mean? I mean I had my interview and all, and...
