Don't need to worry on this. Last time, if you had sponcered their visit to USA, you can do the same.
For self sponcering, parents need to show thier properties, bank balance, income tax certificates etc.
The basic information the VO looks at is the ties in their home country and will return...
Please take your parent with their I 94 cards to the airport where they made their entry into USA. Please explain to the deferred inspection office about the situation and if luck prevails the I 94 will be corrected.
Since your parents have not violated any visitor visa law, they are likely to get 10 year multi visa this time provided they establish their ties in their home country.
If they can self sponcer thier visitor visa, it will be good.
They need to apply again for the visitor visa once the current visa is expired.
They need to attend the interview again as they had done for the earlier visitor visa.
You came back home in June 2007 and planning to go to USA in Dec 2008. It is OK. You have stayed in your home country more time than what you stayed in USA. I do not think, you will have any problem at POE. Good Luck.
It looks like that you have not read or understood the posting of creativeum. His issue is different and your issue is different and your issue has got nothing to do with deffered inspection office.
In the interest of your own mother please try any airlines which can accommadate her to leave USA...
The IO at POE felt that your mother is coming to USA frequently and gave a restricted stay. I would suggest that she should return back as per I 94 date to avoid any future entry problem. The IO must have made an entry in the computer about her frequent visit though he had not made any mention...
from your post, if I have understood correctly, she got 6 months at POE and another 6 months as extension and out of 12 months (6+6) she stayed for 10 months and left for her home country.
For her to come back to you again, she has to stay in her home country for more than 10 months or say...
I understand from another forum where you have posted that you got your mother's I 94 expiry date corrected to that of your father's I 94 expiry date. If that being the case, legally both father and mother can stay with you till the last date of the I 94 expiry date.
If they leave before the...
In my opinion, you should not apply for an extension as this is their first visit to USA. The IO is testing your parents case and he would have made a mention in the computer. Even if you apply for an extension, it will not be granted without any proper reason.
Best thing is to spend some...
No harm in trying with deffered inspection office at the airport and explaining the situation by showing both I 94 as suggested by me.
But, as suggested by Triple Citizen, please do not extend her stay, if her I 94 is not re validated.
You may take your mother to deferred inspection office at the airport and explain the situation. I read in an another forum of the similar incident and the lady was also given the same duration of her husband. Good Luck.
You have stated that she came on 3 occasions during her 10 year visa period. In those 3 occasions, if she had returned to her home country before her I 94 dates, without any extensions, then, she stands a good chance of getting her visitor visa.
If you stayed in USA for 5 1/2 months, then, you should spend more than 6 months time in your home country to come back again to USA on a visitor visa B2.
If they have stayed for 6 months in USA, then, they should stay in India for more than 6 months to come again to USA; otherwise, they will be considered as 'living' instead of visiting USA and will be questioned at POE when they come next. Also, they will only be given a short stay instead of...
She should leave immediately to her home country as she is over staying in USA as her I94 date is 09/26/08. I do not think that you can now apply for extension.
Please wait for some seniors opinion.
If you would have stayed for more than 6 months with a residence proof in Mumbai, then you can attend Mumbai consulate; Otherwise, you have to attend Chennai consulate only.
Even if you attend Mumbai consulate, they will refer back to Chennai which is a waste of time and money.
For their long term benifit, please avoid extension if it is possible and let them return before the expiry of I94 date. They can visit you again till the last date of expiry of the present visitor visa provided they stay more time in thier own country than the one they stayed in USA. For...
