My friend just informed me that his parents' extn request is approved. Receipt Date was November 2, 2009 & Approval Notice Date was November 18, 2009 and received the envelope today.
Very fast indeed.
I have advised to visit CBP office based on the earlier postings in this forum that 2 different I 94 dates given to parents at POE on the same day of entry was corrected to 6 months at CBP office based on proper explanation.
I would suggest you to go immediately to your nearby CBP office ( deffered inspection department) and show both I 94 cards and explain the situation to an officer there. He may correct your moyher's I 94 card for 6 months.
Good Luck
I am not sure about TC answer. One I 539 form to be filled in which the 2nd applicant name is added. The fee is $300 only. I am certain about my answer as my friend had just filled the form on 29th Oct
You can travel to USA even on the last date of valid visitor visa and on this account you will have no problem.
Before the flight lands at POE, you will be given in the flight a form known as I 94 arrival/departure record. You need to have an address where you will stay in USA.
You need to...
As TC suggested, it is better your relatives self sponcer their visas and explain to VO that they want to attend the wedding. Of course they have to carry the wedding card with them at the time of interview.
What VO looks in individual case is that whether the candidate will come back once his...
I would suggest you that your parents self sponcer their visitor visa and you may send an invitation letter to attend the gaduation.
I did the same when my son graduated in May 2005 and got the visa without any problem.
Since your father is getting pension and has some FDs and liquid cash, it...
I understand that you are talking about the renewal of visitor visa for your parents. The visa they are holding will expire in Dec 2009 as per your statement. They have to go to the consulate once again after the expiry of the current visa and attend the interview for visitor visa. The same...
The normal question asked for a visitor visa holder is
1. Why do you come to USA?
2. Where will you stay?
3. How long will you stay?
Be prepared to answer the above questions. Good Luck.
In my opinion going back to their home country in April 09 and comming back in Mid June 09 will not be looked into kindly by the VO at POE. They are supposed to spend more time in their home country than what they did in USA.
They may be given restricted entry when they come in Mid June 09 or...
