How to behave at an asylum interview?

The interview itself varies from one IO to other. But I can only tell you one thing, know the story in and out, you dont have to memorize dates, but you are expected to know the timeline of the story really well. Good luck.

    GC Codes AS6, AS7, AS8

AS6 = Principal Asylee AS7 = Derivative Asylee (Spouse) AS8 = Derivative Asylee (Children/Dependents) They all share the same rights and responsabilities, the only difference is that AS7 and AS8 may be able to travel back to COP without any problem. (Check with your lawyer)

Getting an RTD after renewing NP

As of visiting your home country, there is a huge controversy going on about the subject. The conclusion is that you should be able to go and come back without any major problem, however at the time of citizenship interview the IO might give you a hard time about this, so be prepared to...

    Any Gay Asylees? Any approved?

Asylum can be granted on the basis of sexual tendencies, religious or political practices among others, I believe once someone is granted asylum it really does not make a difference on what grounds you were granted asylum for adjustment purposes.

    Derivative asylee

Correct, same situation here. To file I-485 she has to comply with two requirements, one years since grant of asylum AND one year of physical presence in the U.S. She is an derivative asylee since your petition for her was approved, but she needs to fulfill the other requirement as well.

Has anybody made a complain about Nebraska Proccessing center in DC,VA?

We are in the same boat. I am also an ND05 with all the preliminary processing completed, I've filed several inquiries with my senator and I've always gotten the same response "Your case is complete, and they are processing 2001 cases". I think that is too soon by USCIS standards for us to...

Applying asylum while in illegal status

I think the one year requirement still applies to you, regardless of your current status. I say this because I entered the country as an F-1 student, and still the one year requirement got my case referred to an IJ directly. You don't "need" a lawyer to file a asylum application, in fact, I...

    Driver's License Dilema

I was just there last week, they do recognize your asylum as a proof for "permanent" residency, but without the I-94 they will not issue you a new license. So, the way I see it you have these options: 1) Wait until you get I-94. 2) Drive to Canada (8 hrs), get a new I-94 coming back -...

Everybody will get approved faster than we had anticipated

I would not go as far as to say that "we all" will be approved, but it is a good sign, and definetely things are moving way faster than before. Can't complain.
