It depends on which service center I485 case is applied. I-551 stamping on my passport was done on 3rd August, 2004 in Memphis and am still waiting for physical card. My service center is Nebraska and waiting time is atleast 6 months. But one of my friend got his physical card 3 weeks after...

All of my friends who did CP for green card, got plastic card within 10 - 15 days and we know time to get plastic card varies from 1 week to more than 1 yr under regular processing. Time to get plastic card is much faster for local transfer case.

I hope your attorney will get it anytime. In my case RFEs was sent on 16th June, but lawyer informed me on 25th June. But in case your attorney does not receive within 14 days, then don't forget to inform INS. Good luck.

Recently I did my passport stamping at service center with online approval status printout. I am yet to receive my approval notice in mail. Service center location is Memphis. You may give a try.
