I got this macro from this portal and know absolutely nothing about programming this thing. Keep the range of numbers to be scanned to less than 1000 at a time. BCIS has a filter to exclude robots that asks you to retype the EAC #. So this macro works better during off-peak hours...

looks like your decision to contact the senator worked, if you don't mind, could you tell us how you did it ? Phone/email/letter ? Did you or your lawyer contact the senators office ? Can you give us a rough format of the letter ? Thanks
Does it mean someone who was a student in a US university (say, for PhD) and took at least 5 years to complete it automatically becomes a resident upon graduation ?
your company is correct in the assumption that you cannot be unpaid when you are on H1B (there are exceptions based on medical reasons). You might want to apply for a EAD. You will be in status (since you are currently an AOS case) even if your H1B is cancelled. Sounds like you just need to hang...
What is Temporary Protected Status?
Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a temporary immigration status granted to eligible nationals of designated countries (or parts thereof). In 1990, Congress established a procedure by which the Attorney General may provide TPS to aliens in the United States...
I am in the same boat as you are - this is my experience
(1) You only need the EAD to start a new job - not I-140/I-485 apps.
(2) You should contact a lawyer (maybe your new company lawyer) and ask them to transfer your file from your old company. The INS needs to be informed of your new...
lots of folks with Oct RD actually have a Nov ND. The EAC # is created based on ND, and taking into account 4 weekends plus couple of days of thanksgiving, it seems okay.
Dear INS :
Please allow me to remind you that :
(1) The week after the superbowl is not a federal holiday.
(2) My ex-employer does not deserve the money back. Keep the change and move some files
(3) Stalling for time till March to shift the workload to some poor slob at DHS will not work...
I have a colleague who had to do the FP twice - apparently the technician screwed up and did not make sure the print was good enough for processing. Apparently it is fairly normal to be asked to redo the FP. I don't think there is anything to worry about - it takes max 10 days for the results to...
TPS is a conundrum - turns out due to civil war there may not be a recognized government in a certain country. In that case you cannot legally deport/extradite a person since a recognized goverment has to receive that alien ( i.e. can't deport someone to a warlord). So TPS was created so that...
It makes sense to process by ND, since that is a chronological record in the computers (i.e. spreadsheet). The RD is not chronological. The RD is used as a legal flag , e.g. for H1B extensions. So, looks like ND of November is being processed. However, ND of november comprises of apps from Sep...
