my case got approved three months ago. my spouse's case is still pending due to a delay in security check. it is said that the result has not been back from FBI. Does anybody know if the situation is forever? I just feel that when there is a delay in security check, nobody knows how long it takes.

My lawyer called the INS local office and found out that the officer that interviewed us was reassigned. So basically she forgot or nobody is taking care of those cases. I am worried that it is a chaos in the local office. and you can not count on them at all. this is so frustrating.

malda, i will definitely let you guys know if i hear anything. we are among the very first people that are interviewed in newark after the freeze. the freeze started in the afternoon of 11/21 and we went in the next morning. the officer told us that she will send us letter once it is clear. but...

we interviewed on 11/22 at newark. and we are still waiting. let me know if you got the approval letter. I will ask my lawyer to follow up if we hear nothing by 2/15.

I believe it is 10/11 (TD). As far as I understand it, it depends on the officer. Some officers take care of their cases faster than the others. You should be getting yours soon.

we went to the interview at newark for our case of NIW. We have been waiting to hear from that officer since then (11/22/02). Is there anybody with the same expeirence as us and who has or has not received the approval notice? Please share with us.
