relax dude :) MD sept 6th STILL NOTHING!!!

maybe 3 months now? My MD is sept 6th. still no receipt. because of the holidays, i doubt I\'ll get a receipt before dec 6th. And I know many people are still waiting with MDs in August!!!

somebody is always hunting for "the story", that\'s it. the original article was a hoax. shusterman.com also has some comments from the INS Commissioner giving immunity even to illelgal relatives of illegal victims, let alone "illegal" relatives of legal victims . . .

i think the article is not true first of all, INS is never mailing any warnings that quickly. i think you guys already know how slow INS is :) second, 60% tax on the life insurance payout??? how about children? can they collect the money? no way . . .

Any way to verify this info with the INS? is there any URL or something . . . maybe some note was posted on this on the INS website? any of the immigration lawyers confirm/deny this on their websites? (or here) Thanks in advance.

got receipt! I\'ve just received notification from my lawyer about the receipt! MD is 9/6/01 RD is 9/7/01 ND is 11/9/01 lawyer received receipt on 11/29/01 not even 3 months yet! I\'m soooo lucky! To all August guys who are still waiting . . . GOOD LUCK! I mean it.

i went there on 12/07 we were there at 5:30 in the morning like a freaking maniac. needless to say, we were the first ones "in line". We were the only one standing there for about 30 minutes. Then came another crazy fella and after another 20 minutes people started to show up...

applying for SSN doesn\'t change your status using EAD does. afaik
