Can We settle on These Bases?

Need to stay on track I went back and read the original complaint that was filed (and have attached it here for easy reference). As far as I can see this complaint is based on slow AOS adjudication. We should therefore stick to this and if necessary or so desired, approach Rajiv to file...

Can We settle on These Bases?

My My ............. Having read the last rounds of chat - where has it got us. By the time we finish arguing and pointing out minor faults, the Law Suit will be no good - as we will have our GCs - at this rate I can't see us agreeing on anything in less than 12 months!!! At this rate, the...

Can We settle on These Bases?

Decision Time Watching the comments go back and forth, why don't we take a consensus poll. I think it reasonable to ask the following questions / give readers the following choices and then we will be able to ascertain from the forum what we should be doing. Option 1 Vote to move...

Can We settle on These Bases?

Ability to change the law ...... In assessing what we are able to ask for, we should remember this point : We cannot change the law Therefore, we should go for things that will speed up the process and free up resources to tackle the items that need to be addressed, but we cannot change...

Can We settle on These Bases?

Great Job - lets cut to the chase and move forward! Great job with the amended proposal. I suggest we stop bickering and fighting amongst ourselves and put this to the vote. There are enough important issues covered and the sooner we agree to move forward, the sooner we will see whether the...

Can We settle on These Bases?

Latest version of # 4 Rajiv ... I like the latest version of # 4. However, in a reply to an earlier post I made, you said that you would include language to clarify that this would be for all EB cases. Where did you intend adding this? Was it going to be in supporting docs, another...

Can We settle on These Bases?

Looks Good Thanks for all the hard work. The points look good, especially # 4. Herewith a couple of questions : 1. Do we need to add anything that we are definitely willing to give up ie bargaining points. If they start to negotiate and we back down on one or two requests, would that help...

    My conversation with USCIS Lawyer

Re: Re: Clarification on AC21 - L1A and Similar Job Below is a post from another forum. It is this that fuels my concern and desire to have the issue of L1A visa's clarified. I have posted a number of questions on this issue (on this and various other forums) but never received a...

    My conversation with USCIS Lawyer

Clarification on AC21 - L1A and Similar Job Thanks for the hard work. As the holder of an L1A Visa, I would like to see this type of visa definitely (and explicitly) included in the AC21 rules. To date, an implementation plan has NOT been issued. We need to have the rules clarified ie...

    AC21 Portability - L1A with I-140 and I-485 >180days

My question is NOT about concurrent filing. My I-140 was approved at least 4 months before I submitted my I-485. All I wanted to know is, as my I-140 is approved, and my I-485 has been in for more than 180 days, do I qualify ie does an L1A qualify or is it only for H1-Bs?

    AC21 Portability - L1A with I-140 and I-485 >180days

I have never seen a copy of my I-140 application. All I have got is a copy of the I-140 approval notice. I don't remember seeing any SOC code on it, but I will have another look. Any suggestions on how to get the SOC code without going to the Corporate Attorney who submitted the application...

    AC21 Portability - L1A with I-140 and I-485 >180days

An interesting post from Murthy's o8/25/03 chat : Chat User : My visa is an L1A. I filed for a GC under EB1. Labor exempt. I-485 was filed over 180 days ago. Can I change employers? Attorney Murthy : The BCIS has recently seemed to turn around on its position on these types of cases...

    AC21 Portability - L1A with I-140 and I-485 >180days

I entered the USA on an L1A (Manager) Visa. I now have an approved I-140 and my I-485 has been pending for more than 180 days. As AC21 applies to EB (Employment based) petitions, is there any reason why I would NOT be able to switch employers - providing the job title is similar? I have seen...
