RS003, From other posts on this forum, I understand that we can start work once the EAD application is approved(VOM/Online Status). It takes less than a week to recieve the actual card anyway. Hope at least the EAD applications/ renewals are processed faster.

Renewal EAD, Appln delivered by Fedex to INS VSC on 06/JAN/03. No further info yet.

Applied for Renewal EAD 3rd Jan 03. Old EAD expires 21-Feb-03. I hope we get the renewal by then. BTW, if you are working on EAD, H1B is automatically invalid.

Spoke with IIO just now For the first time was able to get thru the waiting and speak with the IIO. She said it takes 4-6 months for INS to schedule for FP after the 485 apps are recieved. FYI. Nothing to panic. INS is working and they are not closed for any emergency.
