Kumbhakarna was supposed to be a "raakshas"...
It does not matter whether he is god or raakshas when he is asleep ;-)
A nice kick in the rear could wake this Kubhakarna in INS though
Hi Guys,
I did my passport stamping at LA today (3/13).
Yesterday I went there at 7:15 am. The address on the approval notice says room 1001. Attorney told us to go to room 2050. She also has pointed to us the correct line in which we need to stand (facing the bldg from Los Angeles street...

I have talked to IIO twice. Both times I called them in the afternoon between 2:30 and 3 (PST). Both times I got thru in about 5-10 minutes and about 15-20 minutes wait (on hold) after that.
Donno whether that particular time of day is less busy or whether it was just luck that i got thru

Of course, as you noted, there are exceptions for which, I think there is hardly any reasoning. Some of you with April RD might still be waiting and some with late June RD...

probably should also add another point

yes its true (according to murthy.com). you will have to search the murthy chat archive to get it. it was in a chat, say, a couple of months back.
in short, she says CSC is allowing 180-day rule only if the person changes job after 180 days even if the 485 processing takes more time...
for gajesh...
gajesh.. I have no idea... but you might want to consider the following (from murthy chat http://www.murthy.com/chat1022.html

Chat User : Why CSC not considering portability for AOS?
Attorney Murthy : It is considering...
