one more big advantage is...you'll have 3.5 yrs left of 6 yrs H1B cycle...So you can use them in worst case scenario (I-485 deniel).... you can apply new H1B and work for 3.5 years from the date of deny....

Most of the cases (whose PDs are after 2000) will not process atleast for two years.... Anyhow after 2 yrs if something is wrong with I-485 then both (H1B or EAD) 'll become void....so I don't see there is an advantage with H1B ext...

So according to this document, person will get approval if he/she is out of status for lessthan 6 months (it is not indicated that it should be LAST entry , it means that person could be out of status for lessthan 180 anytime that he/she was in US...)

No one knows exact way how USCIS takes into account about this 180 day rule (since entry or since last entry)....

You mean in MTR they won't approve my ext, but why ? I applied when I was in US but later on I went back and got a new Visa.
