Recd oath letter today for 01/11/10. had my interview on 12/15.

I don't think you will face any problems. My IO looked at the employment section for a moment and went ahead.

So, I think the only other option is to have somebody open the mail box and send it to USCIS fro re scheduling if the oath is before the arrival date. In case of missing the oath date without rescheduling migh create some coplications down the road. Correct?

Sorry for the confusion. Interview is done. I will be going for 10 days as an emergency. While I am gone and the oath letter is received and the oath date is before I arrive. What are my options?
