I think You have to re-apply for AP since the decision on the application is already made. When you talk to customer service did you explain the mistake of selection of category?

Except in rare cases, any attempts to expedite name check process are futile now-a-days. I am stuck in name check for the last 18 months. I Contacted 2 senators but both said they do not takeup FBI name check expedite requests!!

I had that EXACT reply from NSC to "contact after 6 months ..."(which appears as if it came from some kind of TARROT READING or PARROT READING :) ) when lawyer initiated Status inquiry after PD became current. It turned out the case is stuck due to Name Check pending :mad:

I haven't heard of this. Even my lawyer did not mension this. AP Original docs are required but I-485 approval notice copy may be enough. When I used AP the officer at POE did not even ask for I-485 receipt notice. BUT, do not base your decision on the above said.

No LUD change for me too. Last Code 1 Bio taken on 3/28. So far I was worrying it did not change for me but now know I am not the only fellow like this. And we can start collectively worrying now!! :mad:

Sanvibha, Did you see any LUD on your I-485 after Bio code 1? I did not see any. Previous Fps resulted in LUD on the case but I did not see any LUD for this Bio. I went on 3/28. My I-485 is with NSC. TIA

I guess you can go even the next day for Boimetrics. I filed 3/27 and went for Bio code 2 on 3/29. I did see LUDs too. As far as checking case status online, you have to wait at least 48h (2 days) after you e-filed. The e-filing docs mension this.
