    san..20 makes sense. why bother with the OCI at this stage? There is plenty of time to get this done after they reach a certain age or into their next passport. Perhaps, dula citizenship will be made official(from what the PM Singh says) in the near future.

    DesiG I too have heard thru a friend about how strict the officials are at Mumbai if you don't have the "U" visa with you. Luckily, they gave her 4-5 days and she managed to get the same from the USA and get the sticky situation resolved. You can pay $ 20 ( I think) to get the visa stamped on...

    Passport recd-Houston Recd both the PP and the Nat.cert in the mail yesterday! Now for the OCI card..just hope the procedure is done with quickly !

    Oath completed in Hoston Finally IT is over and done with!! Arrived at 7 am and got done by around 1130am. Worth the while to see how the whole ceremony unfolded ;) Wish all the folks in waiting a quick turnaround toward the USC.:)
