    I just called INS to get an update on my case. I was told that my case was assigned to an officer on 5/16/02. Any ideas how long it\'s taking for a decision to be made, going by the current trends !!! ?

    Please post your comments (just to get a second opinion). A lawyer will be contacted as well. Here is a case.... His labor was filed on 03/04/02 (NSC). His H1-B (6 years) expires by end of May. Does this mean he has to leave the country after H1 expires or are there are any options ...

    There is a trick ! The ph # is 402-323-7830 for NSC. Use the REDIAL feature in your phone. The moment you get busy tone, you GOT to redial. Do NOT give even a second between the 2 events ! Try in the later afternoon. That time I guess your wait time (once you got the line) would be less...
