Ok. But I think it will add more days/months to your 'physical stay requirements' for citizenship. Example if you stayed outside of US for 160 days in a year you have to wait extra 160 days before you can start your citizenship application.

I would suggest that you go to the Mumbai consulate web site and from the immigrant visa FAQ get the packet 4. Its a pdf file. In there you will find the requirement for the PCC. Regards

There is absolutely no need to take the kid or his documents because he is born in US and is already a citizen. We did'nt carrry any of their documents to the consulate. Best of luck!! Harru
