RFE on EB2 with RD 2006-APRIL and PD 2002-March

Did your medicals include TB skin test? If not that's what it might be. A RFE does not mean they will approve your GC soon. It's the namecheck that takes forever.

TSC July 2006 filers got stuck with NC

Did any of you try to find out status of your NC from FL/congressperson? Anyone planning to file WoM?

Yes, write to your congressperson. Join the namechecktracker yahoogroup - they are going a flower campaign.

Pls share if anyone spoke to TSC IO today

I think the days of getting-approved-even-though-PD-not-current are over. Now you will have to wait for PD to become current, in addition to namecheck.

Pls share if anyone spoke to TSC IO today

I see a ton of people who applied in 2006 stuck in NC. My guess is CIS/FBI misplaced the files. Someone will have to file WoM to wake them up.

This seems to be the standard reply these days. Guess the FL channel has dried up. On a separate topic, appears that most citizenship applications don't get into NC quagmire, wonder why. Here's a typical timeline: Citizenship timeline for user itengineer: 2/23/2007 - Application Mailed...

    Greencards to be revoked?

The title follows the title of the original article. The question is, are they recalling all greencards without security checks or just those without expiration? If security is the real issue, it makes no sense to recall only those without expiration. What this will do to the namecheck backlog...

    wow...485 approved today 10/3

Actually, sree2005 is not an old timer. If I understand correctly, he started his GC process in 2005. Please correct me if I am wrong. His PD is old because of labor substitution. Real old timers are from 2002 and 2001 and continue to suffer.

    Greencards to be revoked?

Came across this: http://www.tcdailyplanet.net/article/2007/09/27/green-card-recall-proposed-could-affect-two-million-permanent-residents.html Does this mean that all greencards that did not go through namecheck will be revoked?

    Tracking pending 485/namecheck cases

The Ombudsman in his annual report provided some statistics. Not sure that's what you are looking for.

    Happy new year!

Will they speed up namecheck process? Not unless they work with the FBI.

I can see the next big revenue stream for lawyers - WoM filings. At this rate nobody will get GC without WoM - so every I485 filing has to be accompanied by WoM. And every successful WoM case slows down regular namecheck processing, worsening the problem.

Great suggestion. But no one will pay any attention. Lots of people have come up with lots of great suggestions in the past. None of them have been implemented.

You can always refer to the processing times from USCIS. It's a big bunch of lies. Sometimes they publish statistics regarding how many visas were used etc. Check their website.
