Did your medicals include TB skin test? If not that's what it might be.
A RFE does not mean they will approve your GC soon. It's the namecheck that takes forever.
I think the days of getting-approved-even-though-PD-not-current are over. Now you will have to wait for PD to become current, in addition to namecheck.
This seems to be the standard reply these days. Guess the FL channel has dried up. On a separate topic, appears that most citizenship applications don't get into NC quagmire, wonder why. Here's a typical timeline:

The title follows the title of the original article. The question is, are they recalling all greencards without security checks or just those without expiration? If security is the real issue, it makes no sense to recall only those without expiration. What this will do to the namecheck backlog...
Actually, sree2005 is not an old timer. If I understand correctly, he started his GC process in 2005. Please correct me if I am wrong. His PD is old because of labor substitution.
Real old timers are from 2002 and 2001 and continue to suffer.

I can see the next big revenue stream for lawyers - WoM filings. At this rate nobody will get GC without WoM - so every I485 filing has to be accompanied by WoM. And every successful WoM case slows down regular namecheck processing, worsening the problem.
Great suggestion. But no one will pay any attention. Lots of people have come up with lots of great suggestions in the past. None of them have been implemented.
You can always refer to the processing times from USCIS. It's a big bunch of lies.
Sometimes they publish statistics regarding how many visas were used etc. Check their website.
