Quite a few LC substitution cases filed in 2004 are getting approved. What could be causing the complexity besides LC substiution if you have a BS degree in Computer Science?
This is happening at all service centers not just CSC. The pattern is a mystery. They are approving some concurrent and semi-concurrent applications, while many of them are pending. How do they define concurrent applications, that is the big question?

What does the sponsoring company have to do to initiate such a query? Can they do it via email or do they have to call the 800 number? Does initiating a query really help?
How do I initiate the inquiry? What information do they ask for? What is the best time to call them? One of my friends called and he was told that only company can call to initiate query?
It is not encouraging to see movement in dates if your case is still pending. It is even more frustrating and disappointing to see that they are processing Feb 28, 2004 cases while more than half of the cases filed in Nov and Dec 2003 are still pending.
EB3 filed in December 2003. Now they are processing Feb 28, 2004. Can we individually open an inquiry with VSC? I heard that only the company may inquire about 140 if it is pending more than 30 days past the current processing date.
To The Honorable members of Vermont Service Center,
Please do something for 140 applications filed in 2003. There are thousands of such I-140 EB3 applications pending while the dates have been advanced to Feb 2004. Ask yourself if it does justice to the applicants?
No clear picture on how...
Once again, VSC causes confusion and furore
VSC has been advancing dates by approving 20% of 140 cases. It has now advanced it to Feb 28, 2004 for EB3 cases. This is despite the fact that more than half the cases (concurrent as well as non-concurrent) filed in 2003 are still pending. What is...
Do these dates really mean anything? It is frustrating to see VSC play with the sentiments of its applicants by approving 20% of the cases and advancing the dates.
Is it appropriate to claim that they are processing Feb 2004 cases when 50% of the cases filed in 2003 are still pending? Do these dates mean anything?
Dear Rajiv,
Thank you for your efforts. How do they define a concurrently filed application? Is it one of the following?
1. Both 140 and 485 filed in the same package on the same day.
2. 140 filed and then 485 filed in the next few days.
3. 140 filed and then 485 filed in next few weeks...
