Kid's status rolled back to "Approved" from "Card Ordered"?

This happened to me last week (see http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=155470 for details). Apparently this is quite common. The odds are that your kids have also been approved -- the case status might show up in a few days (mine did). If your kids are older than about 14, you...

Kid's status rolled back to "Approved" from "Card Ordered"?

It *seems* to apply to her I-485 (it's the same message as the one for my wife and myself): The above is only showing for one of my kids. For the other, the message changed to: And prior to that, the message for both kids was the "card ordered" one... ETA

Kid's status rolled back to "Approved" from "Card Ordered"?

Hi all. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone... My wife, myself and 2 kids were approved on 12/16/04 (details are in http://boards.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=155470). On 12/17/04, the status for my kids changed to "Card Ordered". The kids are 7 and 9 and my...

***FAQ***- Please check this thread before posting a question.

Hi raju. Sorry to hear that you could be affected by the PD rollback. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the AP question. I never got/used AP myself. You might try posting your question in a new thread in the main I-485 forum -- I'm sure others have been through this. Hope you get...

***FAQ***- Please check this thread before posting a question.

Hi Diva. From what I understand, based on what I've read elsewhere, you can take the appointment at the nearest office to where you currently live. Enter your zip code and see which office they direct you to. You may need to show that you actually live in that zip so you might want to bring...

New FAQ entry on what to do after I-485 approval.

Yes, the information applies to all locations and I posted links to that post from each of the corresponding (NSC, VSC, CSC, TSC) I-485 forums. I also added the FAQ to the general I-485 FAQ section (maybe somebody will make it a sticky). Yes, this seems to vary from location to location...

So you (and possibly your spouse and kids) have had your I-485's approved. Congratulations on becoming Permanent Residents! But now what? What's the next step? You need to make an appointment to get your passport stamped through INFOPASS at https://infopass.uscis.gov/infopass.php...

New FAQ entry on what to do after I-485 approval.

Ya -- I'll add a comment to the FAQ post that if you are outside the US at the time of the approval there should *definitely* be no problem getting back in if you had valid AP / H / L before you left. The problem is if you leave the US *after* being approved -- some people are adamant that...

    485 approved..what next?

Hi sman76. I'm just getting up to speed on this myself. My family and I were approved at the VSC on 12/16/04 (we now live in the Dallas area, details here: http://www.immigrationportal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=96) and I will also need to do stamping for my wife and myself. I'll answer with what...

    Info Pass @ Dallas

Where's the Dallas ASC located? Does it serve most of the Dallas - Fort Worth area, or, seeing as I did my FP in Fort Worth -- would I have to go there for stamping? (My family and myself were recently approved at the VSC. Details here...

My experienec and some PP stamping questions

My understanding is that sometimes they ask for these and sometimes they don't. I just read a post where somebody's lawyer said "don't bother bringing your H / EAD as they aren't required for stamping, but be sure to destroy those so they don't end up in someone else's hands". Personally, I'd...

Hardly any July/Aug approvals....whats going on!!!!!

Yup -- they appear to have completely updated their stats. Very useful -- I just wish they would clarify how / when these stats are updated (the last update for 2003 VSC I-485 cases was on 11/14/04, more than a month ago). ETA
