    I've already booked round trip flight to LA for coming Labor day weekend. Please stick to document preparation for your immigrant visa until your interview is done. Then, could we meet somewhere in LA during Labor day weekend?? I would like to say congratulations in person, if possible.

    I received my police certificate from Osaka today. The certificate was sealed in an envelop and I was told not to open it.The embassy would open it. I was wondering why the police did that. I know I have no any criminal record and have never appred before a police man before. However I'm just worried about the policeman's unprofessional conduct because I asked him the result of the search and he did nto give me any answer. When you did applied for police cert, did you have it sealed in the envelope?just share with me your experience.

    No I haven't gotten the date yet. But I guess it might be the first Monday on September which will be 6th. I will try and harrase the KCC guys to give me the date.

    Im will do my medical examination in Kobe, its just 1 hour from my house on a local train. The date has been changed to 28th July because I could not find space on 27th is full. Now you can wait for my call on 27th 10:00 am.

    Thank you for information on LA fireworks. My wife has just started working in LA a couple of months before and therefore she will be in LA for a while. Many Asian people live there and I am sure I can enjoy plenty of Asian foods when I visit LA, besides many wonderful events. I am trying to find jobs in LA and somehow relocate some time next year.

    Most WindowsPCs provide automatic update via internet as a default setting. For Mac users, click apple menu and choose "software update" on occasion, that's it. I know Windows update sometimes gets stuck and occasionally destroys network connection -:) Windows7 is more stable than VISTA. For beginners, I recommend Mac and second choice is Windows7 PC with security service provided from internet providers (you need to pay additional cost for that service as you might know). My parents use a VISTA machine and had a serious problem before, but it is working fine now and they enjoy Skype, Email and web. My wife's parents enjoy their life without PC and internet, so I don't encourage them to buy a PC so far.

    Yes, there are comic cafes all over the place in Japan. Because of recession, homeless people stay there overnight instead of using a hotel. During day time, it is a quiet and nice place for internet.
    iPad is a good idea for internet beginners. Your mother will be happy to have it. And you will get internet access there!
    Fireworks in DC was excellent this year and I am sure next year should also be nice. Next year I will be working in DC a week after independence day.... So maybe I will be in LA on Jul 4th 2011??? Will see.

    If you won't have access to internet in a house you are to stay, find out internet cafe or comic cafe (perhaps your husband could figure out where it is). In these days there are several comic cafes even in a small town and they provide internet access with reasonable cost. They also have printers if you need. That's what I did while I was staying in my wife's parents' house after my interview was done in order to keep track of EXPACK500. Have a safe trip to Japan.
