Thank you for a nice compliment to my English, but I need to learn more and more by writing and speaking this language. When I found your message in this forum I was surprised to read your fluent English. Conversation between you and me apparently makes my English skills better and I really appreciate it.

Could you obtain the official document from Chinese notary office, stating "your police record is not available because......"???
If we assume just in case that US Emb Japan wants you to get China's Police cert despite the description in DOS site, "police record denial letter" from Chinese officer could be a smart excuse.

Next week I have a job in Alexandria VA, the old town next to DC, so I will be driving to a hotel near DC on July 4th. I will fly to LA during Labor day weekend!!

As long as I understand the context of those sentences somehow, "16 years old at that time" cannot mean " 16 years old at the time of interview".....

In fact the language in the visa checklist of US Emb Japan is vague. If I were you, I would print out
the above description and would show it in case of argument with the consul at the interview, and
of course I wouldn't obtain China's cert.

According to this site, you won't be asked to turn in China's police cert at the interview,
if my understanding is correct.

AND was 16 years or older at that time
THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality. "

So, they did not mention whether or not you need to obtain police cert from China.....
I don't know if the person lived in a country before 16 years old must get police cert from that country.
I will let you know if I get helpful info.

It says police cert of China is available in most cases. If it is true that you cannot get police cert from
China, you could contact notary office of China and obtain the document stating they cannot issue
the cert, or something like that...

actually we are very enthusiastic now me and my wife, really just a week to go, I wish and I pray that our patient and waiting with benefit, and I am really optimistic, and by the way about the vaccination record, my wife she has her record, but for me I though that I don't have one, so that was frustrating me, but I called my mother in Amman she told me that she have my vaccination record and that's make me happy, and I will start the medical when I get current I think I have the time, but for sure I will have also some extra vaccine, but I must finished every thing early to be fully prepared for the interview, I feel that we gone make it, because every single document and also extra documents are already prepared by me to face the interview ( also I 134 and also bank account very good one) I am really feel so happy sister and I pray that we gone all make it

If you need to translate other documents, you can do it by yourself. You don't need to hire a professional translator and/or notary public.

Because I am working for 2 organizations and beside these regular positions, I am sometimes doing free-lancing activity, I am busy especially during summer-fall season. This summer, I have noticed air fare is terribly expensive. Contact a few travel agencies and take the cheapest one somehow.

Hi, your trip plan sounds good and enough days before and after interview. Do your best preparing for interview and then you will enjoy traveling/staying in Japan after interview is done.

I've just come back to USA. Because connecting flight was delayed, my trip got a bit longer until I arrived at my apartment, but it was finally OK.

For July 4th, I will be visiting DC (for business) and watching fireworks there. My wife is working in LA now and she will fly to DC!! During Labor day weekend I plan to visit LA to see my wife. It has been 30 years (when I was a kid) since I visited LA last time, so I am looking forward to having a trip to LA.

Hello Sister I am doing fine, thanks for asking sis, but really get tired of waiting lol, it's so hard, and I am thinking about my interview because I must complete every thing before my interview comes because I will not have the time after my interview date, all my documents are prepared, but I think my wife will come back to Amman in order to prepare the police certificate again for both of us, because the one we have already expired and all the other documents are ready, did you start your medical examination yet, because I heard it takes few days to be completed, so I think you need to start it soon, and for me I wish the days pass faster than this, lool any way big regards to all your family and my wife send you hugs and wishes.

If Syphilis Test is negative and if you don't take Ab titer measurements, medicals will be done in one or two days.
Talking to a receptionist at a clinic will make it clear. I think they speak fluent English.
Another factor is whether or not you need to get additional documents in Japan.
One more thing I would like to figure out is days after interview. I took 8 days to my flight back to US, but it was very very risky.
The consul at the interview said I would get visa in a week, but the fact was not.... See my signature. If possible, take 10 days or more.
