Take heart. I think the easiest way if you both want to be together is to enroll her into school for a semester or two whilst your application for citizenship is being processed. She can also apply for a H1 in the meantime.

Seems random. Spouse and I went to Boston on Oct 26th, she already got her green card, my message hasn't changed - still saying case was approved. I read in another Forum they are issuing cards from a new stock - it will say DHS instead of INS.
But given that FBI checks are an important part of the process, hopefully Ashcroft's successor can streamline this. I think Ashcroft's "logic" was guilty until proven innocent.
