You can do if you like. But the certificate will become a souvenir instread of being a official document.(It will be an invalid paper if you ever do that as we were told during the ceremony). It is a common sense that most of the official documents can not be laminated by the holders.

Nov. 5th to Nov. 12th, there is still about a week. You have way more than enough time to get a same day passport. One has to use US PP to leave/enter US if one is USC.
Personally, I strongly recommend not to postpone your oath.

As far as I know, you do not have to do anything with CA DMV about your citizen. There is even not such a form either. Even at the time of renewal, you will just receive a notice at most of the case and reply with required renewal fee. Then a brand new DL will be mailed to you. That's done...

For San Jose DO, the interview will be held in the San Jose Office in Montery Rd. while the oath ceremony will be held in Campbell Heritage Theater or sometimes somewhere else.
