do "more vets" or people that have more info on this have any opinions on this?

birth certificate confusion..
I had a name change a few years ago, and when I went to request my birth certificate they gave me the one with my new name on it..
should ur birth certificate be with the old name?
and must birth certificates always be original or can it be a certified copy...
