Thanks SOOOO much for your info, I was yesterday terribli confused because my case has being like a copy of yours. i am from south America, but was studing in France just before coming here. my country took 4 months to finally give me the NOS. I was very hapy to see the Received and yesterday i got the request for the french NOS. i wanted to die. to see your testimony at least solved some of the one thousand questions that were flying in my mind. i see i am not the first and only one in such a crazy cituation. (i was just a student in france, they dont care about me, why they need to give me a NOS...etc). Yesterday i tried so many times to talk with the french ambassy in Washington to know what i need to seend them to request that NOS and how much money or anything else... no budy answered. i pased hours trying to find information in the french ambassy web site, but NOTHING, i still dont know who to contact, how to start with this new situation...
