I called the 1-800 number and entered my case number and then chose some option which is for case approved and card not recd. I think, based on your receipt number it transfer you to the appropriate INS office. Mine was transferred to Texas and I spoke to office Smith. Hope this helps.

Don't worry. It should be ok. Both my wife and I were in India when our 485 got approved and we re-entered on AP without any problems.

Our I-485 (me and my wife's) got approved on Oct 25, 2004 and we got our passports stamped on Nov 18th. Our dates on the case numbers show a date change to Nov 19th. Does the status change and an email is sent out when the card order is done? We have not had any status changes yet.

We re-entered the country on the 7th of this month. We were taken to a seperate processing room where others like us were sitting. They entered some stuff in the computer. It took us 1.5 hrs as there was a long line (being sunday). Everything went fine and we were out of there.
