Hi,
My wife's 485 got approved and we got the email yesterday (07/17) saying that her card will be sent within 60 days. (485 filed in Jan 2004 based on my PD Jan 2002).
However, our lawyer filed for her EAD renewal on 07/18 before we got the email. Is it possible to contact USCIS and...
The lawyer got my wife's RFE. It seems its just a straight forward RFE to show marriage is bonafide (supporting documents include joint bank account, insurance coverage, joint ownership of property, joint tax return etc). The lawyer does'nt know if my name check is cleared though.
Sorry, I forgot to include my details
Something unexpected has happened. Thinking that it will take time for me to have mine and my wife's I-485 adjudicated, I looked for a new job and found one last week. I also gave my two weeks notice yesterday to leave my present company. Today and I come...

I am changing jobs and I am wondering if I can take a couple of days off betwen the time I leave my old job and join the new one. Will that be considered a break in employment? Will that affect my 485 / AC21 process? Please advice

I am on H1 right now which expires in Dec 2006. I plan to change my job soon (before December) and work using my EAD (which I have not used yet). However my EAD expires in December 2006 also. I plan to apply for extension of EAD and travel document in the next couple of days. Will the...
Congrats a1b23! I have a question regarding your job change. Did you file AC21 when you changed your job? Do you know if your previous employer revoked your I-140? Please advice. I am really torn. Some say not to file AC21 on job change and wait for NOID, while some others say to file AC21...
wife's biometrics
My lawyer informed me that his office received biometrics notice for my wife. Since my security clearance is pending I guess its meaningless, atleast for the time being...
I got a reply from the Senator's office and unfortunately my case is pending security clearance. So looks like additional review means security clearance.
I have a feeling that your case is ready for approval. I have not heard of USCIS preadjudicating cases that are pending due to name check. And your case is current, they will not spend the time to send you an RFE without reason to approve. Good luck
Damascus,
You had said that you received a letter saying "... we are actively reviewing your case.... if you don't hear back in 6 months...", similar to the letter I had received. When did you get that letter? Did you take senators's help after you got the letter? Please reply

Gurus,
Please help me with the following questions
1. If there is change in employment, is there a requirement on size of new company in terms of number of employees, revenue etc?
2. Is there a way to find out if policy of present company is to revoke I140 after employee leaves? (I'm not...
