Past & Present Oceania winners, How many times did it take for you to win the Lottery?(DV20XXOC....)

EDIT: Sorry, this forum does not seem to allow me to edit my own post above. I now understand how you came up with a 1 to 5 chance. That does not, however, explain away my original point. If you have been applying for 4 years, and on the 5th year you apply again, you do not have better chances...

Past & Present Oceania winners, How many times did it take for you to win the Lottery?(DV20XXOC....)

I am certainly correct. I am glad we agree on the first part; successive entries are statistically independent events, so your chances in one year does not change your chances in another year! That was my whole argument. Now you you added a second twist to the question. For your second part. I...

Past & Present Oceania winners, How many times did it take for you to win the Lottery?(DV20XXOC....)

Caught in the "Gambler's fallacy" there @Britsimon :) :). Theory states that, if the region's odds are 1 in 20 (as you put it above), then if someone enters for 3 or 4 years, their chances improve to a measly 1 in 20. If they enter for 1000 years (assuming that's possible), their chances...

DS-260 Case Number is not available error

Doesn't seem to make sense. Did you also try different web browsers? Clear your cache and cookies and reboot? If all that does not work, then there is something else that I don't understand. Sadly, you are unlikely to get lasting guidance from KCC. Juts thinking: What would happen if you send...

DS-260 Case Number is not available error

Oh, and the other thing. Try to enter the case number without the zeros as well. For example, if your case number is 2024AF00035123, then you try 2024AF35123.

DS-260 Case Number is not available error

You will probably get a better response and assistance if you post the actual message that you are getting when you try to log in. Did you also try to use a different web browser?

You could also try a different web browser.

Yes, but the SSN does not depend on the biometrics. You will still receive your SSN, even thought they can request biometrics.

DV 2023 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Congratulations on your job offer. Yes, in most cases you will get your SSN within 2-3 weeks. The green card takes a month or so. SOmetimes they call you for additional biometrics, which could delay your GC a bit. But, as @nervouswreck said, you can still use your I551 stamp in your passport in...

DV 2023 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

There is very little that you can do now, but wait. If you just want to satisfy your curiosity, you could send an email to KCC to find out if your DS260 was processed. Based on the response, you may be able to tell if you are likely to be called in the next (and possibly last) batch of 2NL...

DV 2023 All Selectees (Consular Processing - CP)

Kinda late submission there. Did you check to see if your DS260 has been processed? Possibly is now, but they likely scheduled other higher case numbers before yours was processed. So, all you can do now is wait and hope for the best. You could have asked this forum, they would have advised you...

You list ALL the schools you went to. The form allows you to add more than one educational institution. So, you add all of them.

    2015 DV Winners from Zimbabwe

Its safer to look for a sponsor. Go through this video, the argument there is that your resources may not be enough. But that depends on the CO you meet on that day. I know 2 people, who were not asked to produce an i134, although they already had them ready.

The "been there done that" thread: life in the US after DV

From my experience, many US employers prefer someone that was schooled in the US and has US experience....unless you come to academia, and even that, the hiring process takes forever. My personal suggestion: If you can manage to find something to help you get by, take some quick courses at...
