Did you get your I-140 at that time? If not, I don't think you can use old PD.

I get my I-140 through my employer. I see no hope within 5 years to get my Priority Date becomes current. I just wonder, could I live in another country while waiting for PD becomes current? I understand I would need to apply for new I-140 at that time.
