Sorry, i made an error...it was aug 2004. yes i applied for ead ..it took 3 months.

I am not in any rush to get my GC, i can wait another 6 months if required. My question was if i don;t hear from them before my interview date, will that mean my request for reschedule is denied and will my application be considered abandoned as a result of no show??

My timeline is Application sent Aug 29,2005, got fingerprinted in jan and got an interview notice early feb. hope this helps.
