Finally approved Our 485 apps finally got approved and we received an approval notice this week. It's been a really long wait in the NC - exactly 4 yrs, 3 months, 2 weeks.

WIll I be happy if I get my GC? I think I'll be more relived than happy. It's just that this thing was more important 3 yrs back. but now, after waiting for more than 6 six years for GC and 4 yrs in name check, I don't think I'll be happy. I'll just be relieved.

Godd news but..... It's good news that they've decided to expedite the name check process. Now I wonder if the USCIS would become the bottleneck again due to massive influx of applications that need to be approved.

So now they are even transferring I-140 cases to the local office? That's ridiculous.

Just received notification from my lawyer. I had requested an inquiry into my I-485 status via an AILA liaison. Turns out that my case in pending FBI name check. Been in that state for 46 months now and counting. Don't know when this is going to end in my favor.

If you've cleared all checks, the probably you should receive your approval in October when they have new visa numbers.
