I never keep envelops. I had a huge stack of cards that the officer didn't even go through them. When he asked for evidence, I first pointed to my cards that were stacked on his desk, but he wasn't interested. Good luck!

Do you guys have any idea what decision leads some people to be stuck in name check forever? I just got my approval and what I feared the most was being in taht situation. Is it based on how common or uncommon your name is? just curious...

No problem, do that. And repeating what others say after their interview...the officer will be pleased to have organized documents. My binder is as neat as it could be! :)

Yeah, I think eddie d is right. During my interview, all the officer did was look at the first page of our 2005 tax return and he was like: oh ok your income is above. He only looked at the gross income, we do have a lot of deductions like mortgage that are significant and that didn't seem to...

I think Ari is right, but I think there is a box that you check that you say you had EAD before.

Thanks, speed. In my case, I saw 2 couples before me being interviewed separately, but I think it depends on the case, or sometimes it's the officers tactics. But you are right, as long as you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't worry. I didn't even have a laywer and things went just fine...
