This is very frustrating! But I guess they can dish non-citizens whatever they want. They know we won't complain but wait. As they say, Life is not always fair. :( :mad:

I had a lot of evidence to prove that the marriage was real. I think that is what helped me. I also added a letter explaining the circumstances that led to divorce. I loved my husband but he cheated on me on several instances and other issues.

Does anyone know how to check the status of Form I-751 online? I went to the state's website and I don't see the "CR189" mentioned on the NOA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What pisses me off even more is the fact that you can get the RFE even with a lawyer. A lawyer is no guarantee that you will get the green card faster. Moreover even at the interview, all a lawyer does is hold the folder with the evidence for you. He doesn't help at all.
Great to see a successful report. I agree that you can prepare and send the I-751 yourself. It is easy when you have the evidence. I did everything myself and I saved a lot of money. The lawyers I consulted all wanted more than $1,500 which seemed ridiculous when I have to provide everything and...

It is ok to use Acco fasteners for mailing I-751? On the USCIS website, there are areas where it says to use them and others not to use them. Did anyone use Acco fasteners when they mailed the I-751 packet.
I am about to send mine and going through all the details on the USCIS website.
