I went to Vancouver through Seattle last September. They only asked for GC both ways. I did bring my RP with me, just in case.

I just got a UK visa on my RP. Nowadays you have to go through biometric with USCIS, but the rest is easy, you don't have to go to the embassy or consulate.

It's different now, there are no application form anymore. You do everything online.

Actually my wife got her GC in about 4 months. Her RD was: Dec 15th, 2006 and got her GC on April 19th 2007. We were so happy.

YES!!! Congratulations. You should get your GC in 1 or 2 weeks.

Yes I called them. They said each case is treated as a separate case. My case was in Nebraska and my wife's case was in Texas.

I got mine 7 months after my wife.

Receipt Date November 21, 2007. Non expedite. The website said they're still processing July 30, 2007. The online status still has not change. But then again the online status for my RTD 2 years ago never changed.

Unemployment benefit is basically an insurance that was paid by your employer while you were working there. Don't worry about it.
