    Getting ready for AOS Interview

Affidavid of Support Regarding the I-864 (Affidavid of Support) form - I had also submitted a notarized version with all my documents, and I just brought a copy of it to the interview. The officer had the original form on file and didn't even ask me for the copy.

Re: In that case, probably both your credit cards have the same (account) numbers on them, but different names. Just make a copy of both and show it to the Officer - that should work. Also, if you guys have a joint bank checking account, then probably both of your names are on the check...

    Getting ready for AOS Interview

Don't worry. My husband and I had our interview last week and it went fine - it was over in 10-15 minutes. We've been married for more than 2 years, so I'm sure that helped, but nevertheless this is what I'd suggest: Don't worry about the addresses. We moved and my husband never changed...

GC holder - Do I need a visa to travel to the UK?

I'm originally from an Eastern European country, but I recently got approved for a GC based on marriage and had a US permanent resident stamp placed in my passport. Now, do I need to get a visa to travel to the UK? I know that I do need one as a citizen of my country, and I don't as a citizen...

    Waiting for receipt?

Thanks for your reply. One more question - was your previous EAD based on your I-485 application?

    EAD filing without I485 receipt

No receipt for me, either I applied in the Seattle district office more than 5 weeks ago and still no receipt. The checks have not cleared either. Did yours cleared?

    Waiting for receipt?

Checks Cashed? Thanks, at least that's encouraging. How long did you have to wait before your checks were cashed? I waited in line for 2 hrs yesterday, only to be told that they have given all their tickets and I'd have to come back and be 1st in line. Planning on going again this week.

    How long?

Returned? Thanks. One more question: Has anyone's package gotten returned because they made the checks payable to "Immigration and Naturalization Services" instead of BCIS/CIS?

    Filing fees

I have filed all documents (I-130, I-485, supporting docs) for AOS based on marriage to a USC, but made the checks payable to "Immigration and Naturaliz. Service" instead of BCIS. I filed the application more than 2 weeks ago, and as of today, neither the checks have been cashed nor have I...
