I do not know the answer. Since not many lenders understand the concept of AOS and bound by the strict guidelines provided by underwriting firm, it is going to be long search to find a lender who can give good rates for AOS applicants.

What I meant is that, since H1B is a VISA the lender understands it. But since "AOS" is not clearly understood out side immigration process, how can I convince the lender that "AOS" is a valid status to stay in USA. Is there an documents from USCIS which explains the validity/proof of AOS status?

I'm currently trying to re-finance my home mortgage and having difficulties. My lender says I need either a GC or H1B to qualify. ( My H1 has expired and I'm on EAD & AP ). Has anyone been thru this situation? How can I convince the lender that my current status is as valid as H1B visa...

While this statement is correct. I have seen many approvals which came after the visa number became not available. Which supports the theory of visa number getting assigned at some point of time prior to approval. One can always hope........ :rolleyes:

I have some good news .. I was able to get an interim EAD eventhough I did not meet the 90 day criteria ( actually it was about 45 days ) . All I had to do was to get a letter from my employer stating that I won;t be able to continue working without a valid EAD and the lady at the seattle office...

I don;t think the premium processing option is available yet. They have said the they intend to make this option available. But not published the date from which this will be available. But since you have 80 days, they may publish this date soon to be useful for you.

I recently changed my address from FL to WA. Even though my address was in FL which comes under Texas my 485 was filed with Vermont since my employer comes under Vermont. Last week I called USCIS and changed my address. Will my application automatically forwarded to Nebraska? thanks
