I am a grad student finishing my PhD in June and returning to India..I am worried now that I may be out of status...the reason is, my old passport expired Jan28th 2007 and two months before expiry I applied for a new passport, but it was issued only on Feb10th, leaving a gap between the two...

Question about possible out of status I am on an F1-visa, and completing my PhD in June and going back...my old passport expired on Jan28, 2007 and a month and a half before its expiry I applied for renewal. The problem wsa the renewal took two months so I got it only Feb 10th. I am worried...
