Hello, We are sponcering our parents from Pakistan but they dont have birth certificates. In the past they have used metric certificate (as it contains birth date) to overcome this problem. Please let us know if any one had same issue ...or any suggestions on what should we do with birth...

Approved Finally, received the sweet emails that CARD PRODUCTION HAS BEEN Ordered last night. I want to thank everyone of you for your support and after looooong 6 and a half years .... this journey is over. I hope that all of you'll see the light very soon.

Where are all these approvals? We have all heard about the fiasco @ USCIS and DOS for I-485. Apparently USCIS has approved closed to 70,000 applications in a month. 25,000 in the last 48 hours of June 30-July 1 but where are all these approvals. We havent seen much of the approvals on this site...

Gurus, What does it mean to people who are in the queue already? Does it mean that they have stopped approving cases?

Just calls (Once you tell them the reason for the call, they autometically route you to the person responsible). I called at the end of March for the first time and I got the response back (in few days) that my NC is pending then I called again in the middle of May. I started calling every week...

I dont think congressman can do anything regarding NC. Actually they told me so as well. First time my NC was checked was in April and it was pending at that time. Steve Israel is our local congressman.

I was nagging congressman's office for couple of weeks to find out the status, finally I called again on 6/5. They called FBI to get the status then the congressman's office also confirmed with NSC that it has received the NC from FBI. No update on web no LUD for NC cleared either, hope this...

I learned on 6/5 that my NC was cleared on 6/1 by calling local congressman.

I agree with you there thats what I have been observing as well that older cases have been approving but I dont think FBI has put the recent ones on hold as my case and other few cases (mentioned on this site) have already gone through name check but they have not been approved. May be and that...

Per June 5th inquiry my NC was cleared on June 1, 2007. Anyone else waiting after NC has been cleared?

I didnt get any LUD either on I-485. LUDs changed for already approved AP and Work Auth on 3/31
