Legal name on Q1-1 &1-2. and I put the new name on Q1-3 with a letter attached. It seems good to go, but we will see.

I got NoA Letter (I-797C), and it shows the new name I put on N-600 application. It looks like it goes through.

You can change you photos during the interview. I didn't like the photos I sent with N-400, so I asked the IO to replace them with my new photos. I just signed in the back of the photos, and my USC certificate has a new photo on it.

Agreed. You want to choose the best name you can come up with if you don't want to go through another name change with $ and time spent. The name change on N-400 costs you no $.

I don't know of a proven case yet, but I submitted N-600 along with Petition for Name Change to see what happens. I am still hoping that will work for me :-)
