I used Advanced Parole to enter the US on Dec. 23, 2004. On my I94 card, the stamp says "paroled until Dec. 22 2005". What does that date mean? Do I have to leave the country before that?

I recently got H1B extension. So now I have two I-94 forms. One in my passport when I entered the country last time, which is expired, and a new one coming with the extension. My question is when I travel abroad, do I just have to submit the new one to the airline?
