If I were you, I'd sit tight a few more months and don't try anything. You should be certified by september 30th and that's the worst case scenerio. Then you can do the filling of I-140 and 485 simultaneously. In the best case scenario you will be certified within weeks.

Thanks longgcwisher, let me know how it goes with you. My lawyer told me the same, "not to worry" and that's preciselly what worries me. I checked today again, same thing. The immigration lawyers I have dealt with so far are completelly clueless and don't care much about the outcome of our GCs...

Great work So there are roughly 58K pending in the DBECK. I wonder how many of the pending cases are traditional cases. Most of the RIR should have been cleared out by now. Maybe, they will actually close the Backlog centers by September after all
