At POE (Phoenix) my FIL got 6months stamp while MIL got 3months.. They didn't notice this till much later.. Has anyone faced this kind of situation? Is filing an extension the only option? MIL needs to stay for 6months.. Any tips/feedback? thanks

its pretty low tech at the imm office.. bear in mind this wont be the application service center where u have the fp taking machine and the camera hooked up to capture ur photo etc.. ur appt is most probably at the local office with an imm officer. he/she is gonna take ur fp on a card, and...

my spouse had to get the biometrics done, and we made an appointment for that.. the imm officer stamped the ppt after taking the FPs and collecting the photos... so u shud be able to do both..

rahul, when she did her fp last yr, they didnt do the biometrics.. i think that is a recent optimization..
