I am new to this forum.

Can someone who is no longer in academic or research institution qualify for EB_1?.
Here is my situation,I published over 6 papers in international journals(some co-authored), these are being referenced or cited in many papers and books. A lot of those who applied some of my methods in the industries are very willing to write letters of recommendation for me. In fact, some of these my methods are prefer choices according to these individuals because mine has no drawbacks when compared to famous ones that have been in used since in 40s till today...they actually stated this in their works.

Also, I have been a judge of others(refereed some research papers).

But in my current job(which is not academic/research institution), I conduct a lot analysis as part of my work which in itself can be taken as research. Maybe my lawyer can build my case for EB_1 under research abilities. Do I stand a chance for EB_1?
