Hi,
My timeline is in my signature below.
The approval date on the I-485 was 4/23, went for my second biometrics on 5/13 and I saw an LUD on 5/20.
no emails or change in the status of the message on the website.
Anyone been in the situation? how long do you think it should take to...
This is the same as my situation. My wife is the primary though (EB-2) and she got her green card and I received a transfer on 9/12/2007. I haven't received anything since.
Thanks all for the responses.
I don't think I have anything to be worried about, I was just curious as to why they decided to call me, the dependent, and not my wife, and it is an employment based case.
Anyhow, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.... I'm focused on trying to get them...
Hello,
I'm trying to understand this update to my case.
Please see the timeline in my signature.
I received the following email from CIS today
"On September 11, 2007, we transferred this case to our LINCOLN, NE location to conduct the interview that is a standard part of processing...
Although the appointment system still allows you to choose that option for an infopass appointment, they no longer grant you interim EADs at the local offices.
I had an appointment to get one two weeks ago and the agent at the office told me that they no longer hand out temp cards.
LUD stands for Last Updated Date. You can check this if you create an account for yourself on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp and enter your receipt numbers. That will create a portfolio of your cases and will display the LUDs.
I don't know if anyone could tell for sure what...
Thanks for the info.
Yes.. in my case those LUDs have proved to be nothing but smoke.... I guess whenever they move a pile of papers from one desk to another the LUD gets updated.
I had originally planned to travel for my work assignment and apply for a visa if I didn't get my AP in time...
Yes, makes sense.
I'm surprised my piece of **** lawyer didn't say anything. He simply said that you could travel and get back on the AP or get an H1-B... he knows I still didn't get my EAD.
I got an infopass and visited the center the other day to be told that they don't issue temp EADs...
So entering on an AP invalidates my H1-B status?
I'm waiting for both EAD and AP, both over 90 days. I need to travel abroad for a work assignment, I was hoping that AP gets approved and I wouldn't have to apply for a visa, but what you're saying means that I need both to get approved if I...
I'm confused...
I still hold a valid H1-B notice, my stamp has expired.
I sent an email to my lawyer asking about leaving while the AP is pending and his answer was that
"Travelling abroad while waiting for AP is not abandonment", and that if it is issued while I'm away then I could...
The status on the USCIS shows that my AP is stell pending since May 31st.
My wife, the primary, got her EAD and AP last month; I haven't received neither.
LUDs 8/12 and 8/30 (yesterday), but no change in status. I had an infopass appointment on 8/29 to inquire about the EAD (90 days) and...
For some reason the first Thursday after the 90 days is not available for booking in the Tampa office... damn it.
do they typically take walk ins?
Thanks
