that is from USCIS siteHi everyone. How to pay the year fee $100 for affirmative asylum pending application? I heard the deadline is September 30th for all applications pending at least one year.
waiting for a decision for almost 11 months from Chicago office as well. have you send a letter to a senator?Hi everyone I’ve been waiting 9 months for my asylum decision at the Chicago asylum office do you know if it’s possible to file a mandamus lawsuit at this stage to push for a decision or is it too early? Also if anyone has filed a mandamus just to get a decision how much did it cost you?
Around 5k, only for decision. Thanks for replying. Can I ask how much your mandamus cost, and was it only for getting the decision or for the full asylum case?
I already made two inquiries through my USCIS accountwaiting for a decision for almost 11 months from Chicago office as well. have you send a letter to a senator?

I would definitely at least emailDo you guys recommend to do anything (inquiry, email, etc.) after the first month of waiting for a decision?
Yes. Start with direct requests to USCIS. After 3 months, you can start asking for help from your representatives.Do you guys recommend to do anything (inquiry, email, etc.) after the first month of waiting for a decision?

I was approved after "decision was pending", never had it changed to other status.Does decision pending after interview is good or bad sign ? i see people saying application pending us better ? Did anyone get approved with decision pending ?
Even though my officer had all evidence as copies, they still asked to show some evidence during the in-person interview.I had two interviews the last one was very tough and it lasted three hours and half . officer did not confirm having evidances that my lawyer mailed before and took some in the interview and not everything . I am worried . Status changed same day .
It's my speculation but I think the longer you wait - the higher chance for approval or second/third interview.Mine says decision is pending. I have been waiting for that since April, almost 6 months. Is it a long wait a good sign or it doesn’t matter? I know a couple cases from these past months that received their referrals to court very quickly.
