Waiting Asylum decision

What??? I have never heard of this bs before, you were admitted as a student or business/visitor visa?
I first came on a B1 visa, then I changed it to an E2 visa three times. Later, I got married, but the marriage didn’t work out. After that, I applied for asylum. The funniest part is, during the interview, they asked about everything and I answered. But in April 1997 (I had come for work for two weeks and then returned to my country), they claim I’ve been living in America since then — meaning I’ve supposedly been undocumented for 28 years.
The decision letter they sent says: “You have been in this country illegally for 28 years. Your case should not have been sent to us; it will be decided by the court.”
But in reality, I have never stayed in the U.S. even a single day without legal status.

It’s really weird, I haven’t heard such a case before but it’s always a news with uscis, anything you could do at this point before your court schedule?

I am very happy for you. We got a similar timeline. I applied in December 2014, and I was interviewed in late April this year. Hopefully, I can get good news soon.
