Processing time for green card based on asylum

Greetings all,

I've recently asked for a DL renewal in Missouri and presented my EAD card after asylum approval that is valid until 9/2029, the lady processing my application told me that my real ID renewal will be valid until 2032, today I received the physical card and found that my card only valid for one year. Anyone can explain what happened and why my DL renewed for only one year?

That’s wrong , ask to see a supervisor and go with your I94 that states you have indefinite stay

You didn’t show the I94 ? With just the EAD that is going to happen.

Did you show the approval letter with I94? I think is a mistake. try to go back there and ask to see a supervisor. Basically your ID renewal will be valid until 2032.

There is nothing wrong with it, if they did not collect money from you on the recent renewal, it means that your formal card that expired has one more year on the last payment. when you go for your next renewal it will be the normal date

No you aren’t correct, they cannot decide when or how to renew , once you are granted asylum, you are granted indefinite stay and your drivers license will reflect that .
 
hey fellow asylees. If anybody applied to renew a real ID with a new I-94 and A05 EAD?

my current real ID has a Limited-Term condition (which was issued with asylum pending status), and i hope they will remove it when I provide them new i-94. Is anybody can confirm this?

Yes will be non restrictions. Real ID
 
I been waiting for I-485 approval I send rfe medical since August 6 2024 that was the last update when they received them and 7 months later still no update my dates are march 17 2023

Any similar case or what can I do now ?

It is outside normal processing times since December 17 2024 I did inquiry but they send and email saying the same thing they tell everyone that they are over loaded and working on my case :( but I see a lot of people getting approved in 6 months or less

When did you apply I-485 and if could share from which state did u apply from?

Same happened to me and after 7 months i sued them and got my GC! Your only option is to sue the heck out of them
